The two individuals who robbed a mobile money vendor at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region on Tuesday, March 25, 2019 have been arrested by the police.
The duo, Daniel Amoo, 21 and Yaw Danso, 24, were arrested by the Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command.
Daniel and Yaw robbed Kate Aidoo and poured acid on her, leaving her with burn marks on her face and chest area.
The attack happened at around 11 pm on Monday.
According to the Ojobi District Police Commander, DSP David Osei Fofie, the victim of the attack is currently at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra.
He noted that the two assailants will be arraigned before court to answer to charges soon.
Initial indications are that the two took advantage of the victim’s isolation to attack and rob her.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 there was broad daylight robbery in Taifa.
The victim of the robbery, one Junior, gave the robbers a serious chase and knocked down the two robbers who were on a motorbike.
