Aggrieved clients of Menzgold Ghana Limited have revealed plans of hitting the streets on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
According to a report by Graphic.com.gh, the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana Limited (CACM) have argued that they will embark on demonstrations against four government institutions.
They revealed that their targeted institutions are the Economic and Organised Crime Office, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Attorney General's Department and the Jubilee House.
With a membership of about 6000 people, the CACM has declared that they will picket till the institutions respond to their demands.
In a statement released, they noted that they intend to demand their principal investments from the company.
"The action has become necessary due to state actors’ lackadaisical attitude to the plight of the suffering customers," the CACM statement said.
The CACM claimed that so far, 15 of its members have died, due to shock and heart failure, resulting from the lock-up of their funds.
