The Member of Parliament ( MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has revealed that some influential members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are misrepresenting his positions on public matters to the president.

The MP attributes his decision to tone down on his public pronouncements as a way of letting sleeping dogs lie.

According to Agyapong, these individuals have made it a habit to be peddling all manner of falsehood about him to President Nana Akufo-Addo.

In his assessment, the intent of their actions is to ruin the longtime relationship he has had with the president for reasons not known explaining that the president at a point got pissed with the numerous complaints about him.

“In the NPP, there are some people especially those seeking to be Presidents they are good at gossiping and telling lies. They just seek to ruin the reputation between me and President Akufo-Addo”.

Though he will not mention names of individuals guilty of gossiping about him to the President, he dropped a hint that they are persons seeking to succeed Akufo-Addo as flagbearer for the party.
