President of IMANI Africa Franklin Cudjoe has jabbed the Electoral Commission for announcing that they will compile a new voters register for the 2020 elections.
According to the IMANI boss, compiling a new voters register for the upcoming 2020 elections is a reckless decision.
Franklin Cudjoe lamented on the cost of elections and said how could the Electoral Commissioner take such a decision amid high cost of electoral materials.
“I’m worried that the same issue of the costing element which is the most important matter in all of this apparently is not being adhered to,” he said.
Franklin Cudjoe further slammed the Electoral Commission for what he claimed was an inappropriate manner of announcing the decision.
He noted that the announcement should not have been done through a press statement but instead all parties must have come on board before the announcement should be done.
