Video of police officer allegedly assaulting a female driver pops up online

YEN.com.gh is in possession of a video, which shows an unidentified police officer exchanging words with a woman seated in a car.

In the video shared by Accra FM on Facebook, the woman is seen sitting at the driver’s seat, and is heard saying she is ready to go to the police station and report herself.

This did not go down well with the officer who is seen reaching into the car and saying he would hurt the driver if she is not careful.

He is then heard asking for the phone, which is being used to record the entire event, but it is not clear if the request is heeded to.

Gyamfi argued that the police acted unprofessionally.

Owusu-Sechere added that the police force has been become politicized, corrupt, useless nepotistic and brutal.

Senanu believed the police officer should be arrested.
