Political economist highlights ‘dangers’ of NPP chairman’s appointment as Ports boss

A political economist, Professor Anthony Sallar, has highlighted the repercussions of an appointment of one Alexander Y. Adusei Jr, as the chairman of a non-existent Keta port.

In a Citinewsroom.com report, he stated that Adusei Jnr’s appointment letter was addressed to the board chairman of Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority.

The letter reportedly had stamps of dates, proving the various outfits received it. Professor Sallar added that he was confident the letter was authentic, and for that reason, wondered why President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would appoint an individual to a non-existing port in Keta.

On that score, he sought to find out if the president was setting up Adusei Jnr to fail, as was rumoured with others such as Edward Osei Kofi (aka Cohana) who was at Tema port, Boakye Agyarko as energy minister and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Kwame Owusu.
