NPP official claims ‘dumsor’ during Mahama’s era killed his brother’s wife

A member of the communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Oliver Ofori Baah, has claimed that erratic power supply during the tenure of former president John Mahama led to the death of his sister-in-law.

Rainbowradioonline.com reports that Baah explained that his late sister-in-law was in labour when power was taken.

He revealed that in the year 2015, the supply of power was erratic to the extent that hospitals were without power, and while doctors surgically-operated on his brother’s wife, the light went off.

This led to the unfortunate incident for which the hospital later apologized but it had already happened.

His comment comes at a time when Ghana is experiencing challenges with power supply in some areas.

The ministry of energy has however officially apologized to Ghanaians and explained that the total shutdown of the Atuabo Plant, was to make way for Ghana Gas to interconnect it system with the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCO).
