The Member of Parliament (MP) for Lower Manya Krobo constituency, Ebenezer Teye Larbi, has accused the government of sabotage, as his constituents have been without power for three days.
Ghanaweb.com reports that the MP, who made the assertions, said the situation was affecting economic activities in the area.
The legislator warned that if the problem is not fixed, it could trigger a demonstration.
He said his constituents are not different from residents in Accra and other parts of the country and as such did not deserve the ordeal they are going through currently.
Residents in Accra have also slept in darkness for days but the government insists it is not engaged in any load shedding, popularly known as dumsor.
The ministry of energy has, among other things, cited repair works at Atuabo Ghana Gas Plant, the supply of fuel as contributory factors to the recent erratic power supply to consumers.
