YEN.com.gh understands that an academician, Anthony Sallar, has revealed more details about the controversial appointment of Dr Alexander Y. Adusei Jr, as head of the alleged non-existent Keta port.
Professor Sallar added that the government may spend about GHC300,000 a month on the office of the director of the port.
He explained that the amount might be spent on accommodation, fuel, driver, emoluments, and a minimum of five members of his staff.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo’s appointment of a director for a non-existent port is an attack on his own promise to protect the public purse and “stinks to the high heavens”.
Adusei Jnr, who is currently the New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman in Columbus Ohio, is likely to take GHC20,000 as his monthly salary, according to Prof. Sallar.
