2 persons shot during dumsor demonstration in Somanya
Two people have sustained gunshot wounds at Somanya during a protest against consistent power outages .
The two were said to have been hit on the chest and legs by multiple bullets after they reportedly attacked two of the police officers.
A police statement from regional police PRO, DSP Eben Tetteh said the demonstrators injured the officers after pelting them with stones.

He explained that some of the weapons wielded by the demonstrators posed danger to the lives of the officers and had to fire to disperse the rampaging crowd.
All the towns in the Krobo enclave had been allegedly plunged into total darkness for more than three consecutive days, a situation they claim was negatively affecting economic and domestic activities .
