- Nigerian comic actor Mr Ibu has responded to reports of him going down with stroke
- Reports were rife in Nigerian media that the actor suffered a stroke after a recent trip to Owerri
- Mr Ibu has however released a video with his wife saying he is well
Nigerian comic actor John Okafor who is popularly known as Mr Ibu has has shot down reports that he was suffering from a stroke.
According to the renowned actor, he is hale and hearty contrary to the negative reports.
Reports were rife on social media Thursday, April 4, 2019, that , Mr Ibu had been struck with the ailment not too long ago.
Some of the reports sighted by YEN.com.gh indicated that a close family source had confirmed the popular actor was hit by the stroke shortly after he returned from a trip to Owerri.
The source was also reported to have confirmed that Mr Ibu was being taken care of by an undisclosed traditional doctor and is responding to treatment.
But in a video released after the reports went viral, Mr Ibu was seen 'chopping' love with his beautiful wife.
"People are saying I'm down with stroke. Why? How can you announce someone's sickness? I don't have any stroke, please," he said before bursting into laughter with the wife.
Born some 57 years ago, Okafor is one of Africa’s finest and funniest actors. He gained prominence with his superlative performance in the Mr Ibu film with Osita Iheme and the name has stuck with him thereafter.
