Academic activities were cancelled in the morning of Friday, April 5, 2019, to allow the affected students salvage their personal effects.

3news.com reports that no student suffered any injury or collapsed as was rumoured on social media on the night of the rainfall.

The school authorities have reportedly resolved to move the affected students to temporarily join their colleagues in other two dormitories until their block is restored.

Meanwhile, a number of schools within the Kumasi metropolis also suffered various damages because of the rainstorm that has left parts of the city in darkness as electricity poles have been uprooted leaving cables lying on the streets.
