- A Jamaican journalist, Kim A Siv Dem, has urged Stonebwoy to focus on building a brand in Jamaica than rushing to feature top Jamaican artiste
- Kim said this was the only way for Stonebwoy to be successful in that country
- Stonebwoy was recently in Jamaica where he took photos with almost all of the country’s top artistes
A popular Jamaican journalist, Kim A Siv Dem, has advised Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy to try hard a build a name for himself in the Jamaican entertainment industry.
According to her, this would ensure that Stonebwoy’s feature with Jamaican musicians would be a hit if he followed her advise.
Siv Dem noted that currently, Stonebwoy is not known in Jamaica, therefore, even if he goes ahead to feature all of their artistes on his songs, they would not be hit songs because no one knows him in that country.
To her, building the foundation first before recording music with Jamaican artistes was the best way to go for the Dede singer.
The Jamaican journalist revealed that she had earlier given Shatta Wale the same advice which he employed and now he has his name and brand firmly established in Jamaica.
Siv Dem wrote: “U want to do a feature with every artiste, what are you doing collecting bodies? Shouldn't you want to build a foundation for yourself first? U build ur house starting from the top? Ask Charles Nii Armah Mensah what I told him about foundation in Jamaica? Build up ur name first so that when you do a big feature it HIT!!!!!”
Her comments come after Stonebwoy was seen in Jamaica taking photos with some of their top artistes.
He also announced that he was working on collaborations with the likes of Sean Paul, Kabaka Pyramid, Morgan Heritage, Beenie Man among others.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale had chastised Stonebwoy on the Jamaica photos, saying he has more connections in Jamaica than Stonebwoy.
