Power Distribution Services (PDS) has suspended the load-shedding exercise which started today Friday, April 5, 2019.
According to PDS, GRIDCo directed them to halt the load-shedding until further notice because it has enough power for distribution.
The decision was taken after a meeting with the Volta River Authority (VRA) and Public Utilities and Regulatory Commission (PURC).
Speaking on Eyewitness News on Citi FM, Head of Public Relations at PDS, William Boateng confirmed the directive given by GRIDCo
“We have been directed by GRIDCo the aggregator to suspend the load management schedule until further notice because they have sufficient generation,” he noted.
