A Ghanaian police officer, Chief Inspector Israel Theophilus Dotse, has lost his life under strange circumstances in Togo, YEN.com.gh can report.
The deceased, who was part of the Mobile Force Unit in Accra, reportedly travelled to Togo to purchase a car engine.
According to the Aflao District Police Command, they had information from Togo police officials that a Ghanaian police chief Inspector had died within their jurisdiction.
Upon receipt of the information, the Aflao District Commander Superintendent, Obrako Bempah, tasked three policemen who proceeded to Togo, Dzidzorli.
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, between 3pm and 4pm, the deceased officer and his mechanic went to buy the engine, and whilst they were with the seller, he complained of severe heart pains, Mynewsgh.com reports.
The mechanic rushed him to Centre Meico Ong Femme Environment Saante, a hospital in Togo for treatment, but he was pronounced dead on arrival by the medical doctor of the facility.
