Popular dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has pleaded with his fans in Kumasi to vote for him so he could win the 2019 VGMA Artiste of the Year.
According to the 'My Level' hitmaker, he wants to win Artiste of the Year so his fans should vote for him.
In the video, Shatta Wale who was performing at the VGMA nominees jam in Kumasi, expressed joy in getting nominated and how he wished to win the coveted award.
After asking patrons of the event to clap, Shatta Wale said "As you are clapping, vote for me because I want to win Artiste of the Year hands-down.
"Because if I win, I will be very happy. It has been a long time so I want to win so I come to celebrate here," he added.
Shatta Wale seems to be serious about his soliciting for votes in order for him to win big at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
In addition to soliciting for votes, the controversial artiste heaped praise on Vodafone and Charterhouse for the awards.
Shatta Wale also thanked fans who are already voting for him as he urged them to continue voting for him.
Deducing from Shatta Wale's comments, it depicts that the artiste is really excited to have been nominated for the awards.

The joy expressed by Shatta Wale is not surprising though as this is the first time he has been nominated after his feud with organizers of the VGMAs.
Shatta Wale after he got nominated in nine categories began campaigning and soliciting for votes online.
Shatta Wale went further to dash call credit to fans so they could vote for him.
He however slammed fellow musician Sarkodie as he claim that the rapper has copied his style of soliciting for votes.
In a video, Shatta Wale jabbed Sarkodie as he said that the rapper waited until he started begging for votes before he (Sarkodie) also started.
Shatta Wale is competing with Sarkodie, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy and Joe Mettle for the 2019 VGMA Artiste of the Year.
