The news that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of defunct gold dealership firm, Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah may be returning to Ghana soon caused massive excitement among many Ghanaians on social media.
The embattled CEO of Menzgold who was arrested in Dubai is reported to have won his court case on April 9, 2019.
According to news by Starrfm.com.gh, NAM1 was declared innocent by a Dubai Court and the judge ordered the Royal Horizon, the company who filed the fraud case against him to pay him 39 million dollars.
Also Head of Communications at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah confirmed his boss’ release to Peacefmonline.com but was unable to say when NAM1 will be back in Accra.
“Yes, I have confirmed reports that Nana Appiah has won the court case in Dubai. It certainly is good news but I cannot exactly say when he will be back in Ghana,” Sammy Flex noted.
Nana Appiah Mensah also took to Instagram to praise God for being with him through it all on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
The return of NAM1 has since generated mixed reactions from Ghanaians on social media.
Nana Appiah has been in the custody of the Dubai authorities since November 2018 over a gold deal that went bad.
He was charged with fraud.
