Popular Kumawood actress Christiana Awuni has revealed that she is sometimes paid GHC500 for starring in movies.

Christiana Awuni lamented about how some movie producers pay her as low as GHC500 for acting roles in their movies.

According to Christiana Awuni, it is sad but true that she is not paid huge amounts for acting like some other actors.

In an interview with ZionFelix, Christiana Awuni expressed how she has been living poorly contrary to perceptions that she is comfortable.

Christiana Awuni’s revelation followed a gift given to her recently by popular preacher Rev. Obofour.

She noted that she was surprised when some Ghanaians slammed her for receiving the gift from Rev. Obofuor.

She debunked the assertion by Ghanaians who were of the view that she is an actress and well-to-do so she should not have accepted the gift.

Christiana Awuni disclosed that even though she is an actress, she does not have money like people think.

The actress revealed how poor she is due to the meager money given her as payment for her roles in movies.

The actress however lamented at how some actors perceived as top actors are paid much more that what is given her.

Meanwhile Christiana Awuni is now the owner of a four-wheel drive given to her by Rev. Obofuor.

In addition to the car, Rev. Obofuor gave the actress GHC5000 which she seemed very excited about.

She noted that Rev. Obofuor by giving her such a gift has changed her life since she can now drive a car of her own.

Commenting on whether she had known Rev. Obofuor, Christiana Awuni said she did not know him personally.

She denied some rumors that she and Rev. Obofuor may have connived to gift her the car and cash.
