Today, April 10, 2019, marked the 35th birthday of the national organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku.
To celebrate his special day, the NPP national organiser visited the children's ward of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra to make a donation.
Accompanying the young politician were some of Ghana's entertainment gurus including dancehall musician, Stonebwoy; EIB CEO, Bola Ray; and 3FM presenter, Giovanni Caleb.
Sharing photos from the celebration and visit on Facebook, Sammy Awuku wrote:
"I spent the morning of my birthday at the children's ward(Nkrumah ward)of the 37 Military Hospital.
"I believe children are a blessing from God and that they need all the love and support to maximize their potential.
"To top it all, I had a pleasant surprise from Stonebwoy (one of my favorite musicians) and Bola Ray who joined me at the ward to celebrate with these wonderful children.
"I remain grateful to God Almighty for blessing me with another year. To my family,friends and all who made time to wish me and spend time with me,I say a big thank you."
Stonebwoy also shared videos from the visit on his Instagram stories.
In the videos, Stonebwoy was seen hugging Sammy Awuku after which he went around with the politician to check up on the children on admission.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as children and hospital staff grooved to the “Bawasaaba” hitmaker.
