On the half hour mark, Chris Smalling injured Barca captain, Lionel Messi, who was taken off the pitch for medical attention.
But returned to the pitch and continued proceedings, though consciously after bleeding from the injury he suffered earlier in the match.
Just like the visitors as the Italian referee Gianluca Rocchi sounded the whistle to end the first half of the meeting..
Both teams returned to the pitch for the remainder of the match with so much attacking moves from either sides, but none of them could find the back of the net.
