Another suspect arrested in connection with Ahmed Hussein-Suale’s murder

The director-general of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS), Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, has disclosed that a key suspect is being held in police custody with regard to the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

According to her, other suspects, such as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, and investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, have been interrogated over the murder.

Per a Citinewsroom.com report, she further noted that in all, about 13 people are assisting the police with regard to the incident.

Her comments follow that of the acting Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kwaku Boadu Peprah, who stated that a suspect, Abdul Rasheed, who is in police custody, tried to bribe them, but was arrested.

Some reports had suggested that the suspect in custody was spotted at the crime scene before the act was committed and went into hiding only to resurface a few days ago.
