Meet the Brexit minister Kwasi Kwarteng who has Ghanaian parents

There are many Ghanaians who were born outside and they are doing great things.

One such person some Ghanaians have never heard of is Kwasi Kwarteng who is a politician in the United Kingdom (UK).

Kwarteng is a British Conservative Party politician serving as Member of Parliament(MP) for Spelthorne since 2010.

Kwarteng was born in Waltham Forest in 1975 to parents who migrated to the UK from Ghana as students in the 1960s.

Kwarteng is regarded as one of the budding politicians in the UK currently.

He is a Brexit minister as he and other MPs are fighting for the UK to leave the European Union (EU).

On April 11, 2019, told Sky News that he believes the chances of MPS supporting the Brexit are “improving” and the plan is to leave the EU before October 31 deadline in a “timely” way.

The statement by Kwarteng proves he is a powerful politician in the UK.

Though his nationality is British but his name alone proves that he is a Ghanaian and can hold the Ghanaian passport if he wants to.
