Christian Atsu helps a freed prisoner to set up his own business

Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu has warmed the hearts of many after helping a freed prisoner, Amo Mensah, to set up his own business.

The Newcastle star man in collaboration with Crime Check Foundation have helped the said prisoner to start a business of his own.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, the Manager of Crime Check Foundation, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, took to his Facebook page to confirm the news.

He intimated that some people end up in jail because of lack of job opportunities.

Kwarteng also stressed that his outfit and Atsu have collaborated to help ex-convicts.

According to Kwarteng, the freed prisoner has been given five sacks of belts to sell for a living.

The former Chelsea man donated a sum of £7,000 to support this course

He was also in the news for paying for the release of a 62-year-old woman and her daughter who were imprisoned for stealing corn.
