- According to him, the president is poised to make things work
In a bid to get things done and done well in the country, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has kept his appointees on their toes to discharge their duties.
This is to make the country a better place to live in, according to the Minister for Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Akyea.
He made this known while speaking in an interview with the host of Peace FM’s,'Kokrokoo' program, Kwame Sefa Kayi.
"President Akufo-Addo is committed to his work and to making sure his appointees do the right thing," he said.
He made this remark while discussing the issue of flood and the predicted heavy rains by the Ghana Meteorological Service.
"We have a president who does not allow us to sleep. I'm telling you something very serious, the kind of strength the man (Akufo-Addo) is supervising us with is overwhelming. The president wants to make a difference and I am backing him on that. Get in or get out if you think you can't meet his standards, his standards are very high," he said.
Speaking further on the rains, he said government will do its part in putting things in place to prevent floods, but urged Ghanaians to also do their part by not building on waterways and not dumping rubbish indiscriminately.
