The routing saw fans take to social media to reflect on the Red Devils' lackluster performance, with many appearing to agree with Jose Mourinho's assertions on the current squad when he was United manager.

The Portuguese tactician was quoted admitting he was lucky to finish second in the Premier League last season with the squad members he had.
