Ghanaians tell YEN.com.gh the true reasons why they are sadly "gnashing"

Single people all over the world are both the envy and laughingstocks of their friends but since these single people have their reasons for their situation, YEN.com.gh chose to ask them over Facebook.

Over on Facebook, YEN.com.gh asked readers "Why Aren't You In A Relationship?" and the mix of responses gathered showed a variety of serious and sometime frivolous reasons why people are currently alone.

Perhaps predictably, answers to the question went the way of men accusing women of one thing and women returning the favour.

However, there were some few personal reasons for which some individuals felt it was wise to be alone.

We collated the responses best representative of the general variety.

Iupac Sia Bryte had this to say: "Honestly, I don't want to automatically be a compulsory sponsor. I really need peace". This user was probably referring to the culture of some partners constantly relying on the other one.

Portable Brighten chipped in, "It seems to me that some of these guys of our time are not faithful and they're so cheap to be snatched too". Obviously suspicious of men.

"The moment you propose to a lady, you're indebted to her. Momo. So more money and a wise and anointed woman," wrote Isaac Miguel Marfo. Quite self-explanatory.

But Skylar Grey deviated from the rest saying"I am just waiting for the right one".

Another one to admit to a personal fault and reason was Abraham Mensah who said they were shy of approaching a lady. Interesting.
