- Angel Obinim says he is replacing all Jesus’ statues in his church with his own statue
- He said he is also worthy to be called Jesus and to be seen as such
- Obinim had earlier destroyed and removed all images of Jesus in his church
Controversial self-proclaiming angel of God, Daniel Obinim, has revealed that he is replacing all statues, and paintings of Jesus with his own statues.
According to Obinim, he is also worthy to be called Jesus and to be seen as such, therefore, it is only fitting that he replaced Jesus’ statues with his.
YEN.com.gh gathered this in a report sighted on Ghanacelebrities.com.
He is reported to have added that he must save his name from getting lost in the future, and he must also stay alive.
Therefore, having his statues and paintings in the church is one way to ensure that his named lives on forever.
“Angel Obinim I must stay alive…I should make my picture, I should make my statue because I cherish the gift I have. The kind of spiritual gifts I have received from Jesus is not easy so I will replace the statue with mine,” Obinim said.
“It is rather unfortunate Jesus is dead if he was alive I would not allow anyone to wash his clothes I will do that myself,” he told the members of his Tema branch of his International God's Way Church.
His utterances and actions have caused confusion among some Ghanaians who are wondering if he is a true man of God or he has psychological problems.
YEN.com.gh, however, is not in the position to say whether he has mental issues or a fake man of God.
Meanwhle, Obinim has been in the news following accusations made against him by his former friend that he has twins with another woman called Pamela.
The arrival of the twins is said to have caused tension in his marriage so much so that his wife Florence has run abroad and refusing to come home.
He was also accused of being behind the death of Anokye Supremo.
