The police has arrested another suspect in connection with the recent killing of national Democratic Congress (NDC) member Abdul Wasiru Iddrisu.
The deceased was killed in February 2019 after he was caught up in a violent scuffle at the NDC’s regional secretariat in Kumasi.
He was reportedly shot thrice following a gun battle between two of the party’s own vigilante groups.
The Ashanti Regional Police subsequently launched a manhunt for 12 suspects believed to be involved in the shooting incident.
On Friday, April 26, 2019 the police apprehended one other suspect named Sulemana Fuseini in connection with the said case.
The Daily Graphic reports that Sulemana Fuseini, popularly known as Akon, was arrested by a mob at Kenyasi Abirem in Kumasi.
The suspect was reportedly stabbed multiple times by the mob, before they finally apprehended him in his hideout.
