- This comes after a tape recording which revealed details of an attempt at bribery surfaced online
- The recording led to the resignation of a minister of state, Rockson Bukari
Edward Adeti, the Starr FM journalist at the centre of the exposé involving a former minister of state, Rockson Bukari, has revealed that his life is in danger.
According to him, he has received several threats, following the exposé that eventually cost Bukari his job.
Rockson Bukari resigned after a tape recording captured him attempting to stop Adeti from publishing a damaging story about Shaanxi Mining company leaked.
The former Upper East regional minister earlier denied claims he attempted to bribe the journalist to kill the story against a judge and the Shaanxi Mining Company in 2018.
A statement by the Communications Director of the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, stated that the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, had accepted the resignation of the minister.
Kasapaonline.com reports that the exposé about the former government official has put him in harm’s way saying.
He explained that he has lived in fear ever since he started practicing journalism, but admits that the fear is intense now.
Adeti revealed that dogs mysteriously bark for hours and there is no way of knowing if uninvited people have invaded his home.
He added that some others have openly issued threats on social media platforms such as Facebook.
