Ghana has won two more bronze medals at the 2019 African Seniors Weightlifting Championship in Cairo, bringing Ghana's total medal haul to three thanks in no small way to Christian Amoah.
Christian Amoah, Ghana's leading weightlifter, has won two medals for the country in the 2019 African Seniors Weightlifting Championship in Cairo, Egypt.
The two bronze medals, as at April 30, 2019, bring to a total of three so far chalked by team Ghana at the ongoing competition.
Amoah is expected to contest in a few more categories and hopefully add to his collection of silverware.

Meanwhile, Winnifred Ntumi won hers and the country's first medal at the championship, in Egypt to ink her name in the pages of sports history in Ghana.

Ntumi made double history as the first Ghanaian to compete at the championship and also the first to win bronze at the African Youth Championship to add to her collection.
She was also the first Ghanaian female to compete in the sport.
Two females and four males are representing Ghana in 5 different weight categories.
Sandra Mensimah Owusu, who represented Ghana at the Youth Olympics in 2018 was set to also compete in the 59kg category on Friday, April 26, 2019.
