Drama ensued at a Kenyan wedding as the man's 'wife' stormed the church venue to disrupt the proceeding.
There was drama at the St. James Anglican Church in Kiambu, a town in Kenya's Kiambu county, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, after an estranged wife attempted to stop the wedding of her husband.
The woman, Anne Mwangi, stormed the church and with the help of some thugs, disrupted the wedding proceedings.
According to Anne, she got married to Alex in 1996 in a court wedding and did not understand why he was marrying again.
"I was married to this man in 1996. He has not divorced me yet. I brought an objection letter, I brought my marriage certificate. They did not obey. Why is he in the church doing another wedding?," she questioned in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh.
Reports in Kenyan media indicate that though Anne's claim of being married to the man only identified as Alex, the marriage has hit a rough patch and the couple are now in court trying to get a divorce.
As if the couple knew of Anne's intentions, they hired security who ensured the disruption was minimal.
The efforts of hired security ensured that the wedding was successfully completed.
