Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported the death of Peace FM’s veteran presenter Maa Afia Konadu.

Following her passing, many Ghanaians including her colleagues in the media industry have paid glowing tributes to her.

However, the last interview of Maa Afia had before she passed on has been revealed and has been sighted by YEN.com.gh.

In an emotional interview with Peace FM’s morning show, 'Kokrokoo' to celebrate her 65th birthday on November 17, 2015, she said she has done her part.

I have done my part, I am tired and it is time for me to leave for somebody else to take over,” she told the host Kwami Sefa Kayi.

The former host of ‘Wo Haw Ne Sɛn?’, ‘Mpom Te Sɛn’ and ‘Asomdwee Nkomo’ reportedly died on Wednesday in New York in the United States of America, where she was living with her children.

Maa Afia went to Agogo Presbyterian Girls School and continued to Yaa Asantewaa Girls' Secondary School. She also trained at Wesley College and Ghana School of Languages in Ajumako.

Maa Afia, a former teacher at Labone Secondary School-then moved to work with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) before moving to Despite Group of Companies when it started Peace FM at Mile 7 in Accra.

The 68-year-old who was with the Peace FM parted ways with the station four years ago when she turned 65.

She was survived by Beryl, Kwaku, Esme and Enid Okyere-Twum and 6 grandchildren.
