- Unidentified people have broken into the Bolgatanga home of Starr FM reporter, Edward Adeti
- This follows threats on a local radio channel by people who claimed he has betrayed them
- The matter has meanwhile been reported to the police
The Bolgatanga home of Starr FM reporter, Edward Adeti, has been broken into, YEN.com.gh has gathered.
The break-in occurred three days after his investigation that led to the resignation of a minister of state, Rockson Ayine Bukari.
The intruder(s) succeeded in taking away a television set in the sitting room, after breaking a burglary proof on one of the windows.
Per a report by Starrfm.com.gh, the development comes after two people went on air to vent their displeasure at Adeti, with respect to the case.
The two persons described the investigation as an act of betrayal against the former government official.
Adeti’s wife and their kids have meanwhile made a report to the police for investigations to start.
“Perhaps they are searching for evidence on the investigation,” Adeti, who is currently in Accra on official assignment, said, moments after he was informed of the burglary on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
Bukari resigned over an attempt to bribe Adeti to kill an investigative story about a Chinese mining company, Shaanxi Mining Ghana Limited, and the most senior judge in the Upper East region, Justice Jacob B. Boon.
