Sarkodie admits Strongman's contract could have been extended

Popular rapper Sarkodie has spoken for the first time concerning the brouhaha that followed Strongman's exit from his record label.

Sarkodie has revealed reasons leading to the exit of Stronman Burner from his record label Sarkcess Music.

According to the 'Can't Let You Go' hitmaker, Strongman's contract could have been extended but it wasn't due to certain reasons.

In an interview with NY DJ on Y FM in Kumasi, Sarkodie told his side of the story concerning Strongman's exit.

The CEO of Sarkcess Music denied rumors that Strongman's exit was rough as he revealed that the decision was mutual.

Sarkodie noted that the team sat down with Strongman to discuss the odds concerning his stay or exit.

He said after deliberations, both parties decided that the contract will not be extended because that decision had more prospects for Strongman.

But the rapper was quick to add that even though the contract has ended on paper, both parties will still work on some projects.

In explaining further the reasons for allowing Strongman to go, Sarkodie disclosed that there was a lot of pressure from Strongman's fans.

He said many fans of the young and talented rapper seemed to have high expectations for him which triggered the decision to allow him handle his own affairs.

Sarkodie noted that he has a passionate admiration for Strongman so he will still support him become successful in the industry.

The one-time BET Award winner recalled how he and Strongman spent a good time working together as he described it as a journey that he loved.

Sarkodie's comment followed a hullabaloo that rose after his announcement that Strongman Burner will not continue working with his label since his contract has ended.

Some media outlets and showbiz pundits punched holes into the issue with some apportioning blame to Sarkodie while others to Strongman.

In an earlier interview that Strongman granted, he denied having any qualms with his former boss.

Strongman gave similar reasons as to why the decision was taken so he could leave the label and handle his own affairs.

Deducing from the two interviews, it is now evident that Sarkodie and Strongman are not at loggerheads but will still work together on certain projects.
