- Obinim did not show up at the birthday celebrations of Badu Kobi as he did in 2018
- Obinim's absence has led to suggestions that he was avoiding Obofour who stole the show at the party
The founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, celebrated his birthday on Friday, May 3, 2019.
The celebration which came off at Badu Kobi's church in Accra turned out to be more of a birthday festival rather than a party.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, videos from the festival showed that it was an assembly of celebrities, politicians, and other prominent people in the country.
Many of Badu Kobi's colleague 'men of God' including Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, Reverend Azigiza who was the MC for the programme and the prophet's spiritual son, Reverend Obofour were present to celebrate with him.
Conspicuously missing from the list of dignitaries at Badu Kobi's lavish party was the founder and leader of the International God's Way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim.
Known to be very close to him, Obinim prominently featured in Badu Kobi's birthday celebrations in 2018.
It is not clearly known why Obinim could not attend the birthday festival but coming at a time that IGWC leader's rivalry with Obofour has reached its peak, there have been suggestions on social media that he wanted to avoid him.
It is no secret that Obinim and Obofour and are the two most popular pastors in Ghana currently due to their flamboyant lifestyles and controversial methods.
For some time now, the two have been throwing subtle jabs at each other in what looks like a battle of supremacy between them.
With such a background and the way Obofour stole the show at Badu Kobi's party with his show of wealth, one wonders what would have happened on the day if Obinim had attended.
