NDC chairman shot dead in Upper West region

- NDC Upper West regional chairman has been shot dead

- The deceased was returning from a funeral when unidentified gang shot him

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman for the Dafiama Bussie Issa Constituency, Poulabong Bayiilela Richard, aka Chairman Water, has been shot dead.

The sad incident occurred Wednesday night, May 9, 2019, at Sagu, on the Wa-Tumu Road in the Upper West region.

According to close associates, the deceased was returning from a funeral when unidentified gang men shot him dead.

His lifeless body has since been deposited at the Upper West regional Hospital for autopsy.

The deputy director of elections in the Upper West region Osman Seidu, said they cannot rule out foul play.

“The NPP regional chairman is from that constituency and they are working very hard to take that constituency.

It’s a very big blow to the party and not only in the constituency but the region at large,” Seidu told Daily Mail GH.
