Asiedu Nketia calls for arrest of CID boss; says she is ‘unfit’ for her job

- General Mosquito has stated that the CID boss, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, should be arrested

- He added that she is unfit for her job

- His comments come after the NDC chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, was asked to assist the CID with its investigations

The general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called for the arrest of the director-general of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.

Nketia, also known as General Mosquito, explained that Addo-Danquah is unfit for her job, and she should even be imprisoned.

The reason, he went further, was because, given the allegations surrounding her since she assumed office and how she has so far executed her work, she cannot remain in office.

Per a report, General Mosquito was speaking on the sidelines of a press conference on the recent CID invitation extended to NDC’s national chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

Ofosu Ampofo was earlier summoned by the CID to assist with investigations in the wake of the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence.

His latest invitation to the CID had to do with the recent kidnappings and fire incidents in the country.

General Mosquito is of the opinion that the invitations are unnecessary and tantamount to harassment.

He explained that it means Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been positioned to do partisan work.
