- Chris Attoh has cancelled a movie shoot following the murder of his wife Bettie Jenifer
- He is reported to have traveled to Maryland to gather details concerning his wife’s death
- Jenifer was shot by a gunman on Friday night after close of work
Popular Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh has reportedly jetted off to Maryland, USA, following the dead of his wife Bettie Jenifer.
Ghanaians woke up to the harrowing news which occurred Friday night of May 10, 2019.
Chris was said to be shooting a movie in Los Angeles, but had to cancel that project in order to be in Maryland.
The actor, according to sources, is overwhelmed as expected, and is sure to gather details concerning the sad news.
Jenifer, was reportedly shot by a gunman on the Friday night after she had closed from work.
She had walked to her car at the Greenbelt Parking Lot when the armed man approached her wielding the deadly weapon.
Out of fear, Attoh’s wife started running to save her life.
However, her attacker kept firing shots, and police in the USA said, at least, one shot struck her.
Jenifer was later pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived.
Her attacker has been described as a “a black male with a thick build and black hair, wearing a dark shirt and dark pants” by the Police and he remains on the run.
Jenifer happened to be the second wife of the actor, after his first marriage to Nigerian actress, Demilola, failed.
Meanwhile, Chris Attoh had sparked divorce rumours when he deleted all photos of his wife Jenifer, whom he married just last year 2018, from his social media pages, as earlier published by YEN.com.gh.
The report revealed that the couple were not fine and had broken up.
However, both Chris and Jenifer had remained tight-lipped on the matter till her sudden death.
