Isaac Dogboe’s father and trainer, Paul Dogboe has advised his son to quit boxing following his back-to-back loses to Mexico’s Emanuel Navarette.
Isaac’s hope of reclaiming his WBO world super bantamweight proved futile as he was outclassed by the Mexican.
However, in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Myjoyonline.com, Paul has hinted that he would like his son to quit the sport.
"I will not impose my will on him. However, I think he has had enough. I want him to return to school and continue his course and take another path in life. We worked hard but were unsuccessful at overcoming Navarette."
According to Paul he will have that conversation with his son but will leave the final decision to him to make.
The ex-officer form the British Army is also done being a boxing trainer.
"I have done my bit and had enough. I worked hard with my son but at this stage. I want to move on," he told Joy Sports.
On Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Arizona, USA, Isaac entered the ring with the aim of reclaiming his world belt after his December 8, 2019 loss to Navarette.
But the diminutive Ghanaian boxer was annihilated by the Mexican.
Navarette dropped Isaac twice enroute to round 12 stoppage.
