- NDC's flagbearer, John Mahama, has advised politicians against promising what they cannot deliver
- According to him, the NPP has failed to deliver on most of their promises to Ghanaians
Former president John Dramani Mahama has cautioned politicians against giving promises they cannot deliver.
According to him, politicians need to be honest and refrain from deceiving Ghanaians in a bid to win power.
Mahama, who is the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2020 elections, was speaking to some party supporters during his tour of some coastal communities in the Greater Accra region.
He went ahead to accuse the Akufo-Addo-led government of failing to fulfil its promises since assuming office.
Per a Pulse.com.gh report, he explained that that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), deceived Ghanaians in order to win power in 2016.
Mahama added that the NPP promised projects such as the One District, One Factory, $1 million per constituency, One Village, One Dam, but has failed to deliver.
In his opinion, reality is catching up with Ghanaians, and there are no responses when questions are asked those in power.
