Most politicians have very nice names but because of what they find themselves doing,or how they look and what they say, they have gotten for themselves some interesting nick names.
Most of them have gained so much popularity with these names that a lot of individuals seem to use their actual names.
YEN.com.gh has however compiled a list of politicians who have quite interesting nicknames.
1. Dead Goat
Former president John Dramani Mahama is popular for his 'dead goat syndrome' comment.In reaction to some accusations leveled against him, he described himself as dead goat.Meaning he was indifferent to the criticisms that were fired at him.
2. Papa J
Former president Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings could have gotten his nickname out of sheer admiration for him. The 'J' in his very popular nickname is probably one of his names.
3. Gentle Giant / Sexy Eyes
Former president John Agyekum Kufour probably got his nickname form the size of his body and how calm he looks. As for the 'sexy eyes', if you know Kufour you will know what i am talking about. He got the sexiest eyes ever.
4. Agya Atta/ My brothers and sisters
Late president, John Evans Atta Mills out of respect for his humble self, he earned for himself 'Agya Atta'. Anytime late president Mills wanted to address the people of Ghana, he always started his statement with 'my brothers and sister'.
5. King Promise / Fellow Ghanaians
President Akufo-Addo has earned for himself, the nickname, 'King Promise' as a result of his many promises he made during the run-off to the 2016 general elections. As for the nickname 'Fellow Ghanaians', if you do not know this, then you probably are not a Ghanaian. This phrase just like late president Mills, is used to in his address to the good people of Ghana.
