The office of the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has reacted to news making rounds that she is in the process of recruiting music ambassadors for the United Nations (UN).
Taking to Facebook, a social media platform, her office explained that the information is wrong and should be disregarded by Ghanaians.
YEN.com.gh understands that the message from her office followed reports that she was engaged in such an activity.
For the avoidance of confusion, the office has released the official social media handles of the second lady's office, and stated that any information from other sources, which are purported to be from her quarters should be dismissed.
Her officer further stated that it would not assume responsibility or be held liable for the consequences of decisions taken with respect to messages purported to be from her, which are not relayed via her official handles.
Some Ghanaians took to social media to react to the new development:
Bruce prayed for more grace, love, power, strength, joy, peace and wisdom for her
Ansah sought to find out how she could verify information in such situations
Ayisha thanked her for the release of the information
All Nana could say was that people are wicked
Torres cautioned her to stop such people from soiling her image
