DJ Switch meets Wyclef at Room to Read Gala in New York (video)

Young Ghanaian disc jockey DJ Switch has met US-based Haitian rapper, musician, and actor, Wyclef Jean.

The two met in New York on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at a gala organised by Room to Read, a US-based non-profit organisation, which aims at improving literacy and gender equality in education in the developing world.

In a video sighted by, DJ Switch is seen standing face-to-face with Wyclef as they had a chat.

Though their conversation was not too clear due to noise in the background, Wyclef could be seen nodding as DJ Switch made gestures with her hands suggesting she was explaining something to the Sweetest Girl hitmaker.

Not long after the gestures, Wyclef burst into laughter and hugged the young Ghanaian star before posing with her for pictures.

DJ Switch's appearance the New York gala comes just a few months after she participated in the Goalkeepers 2018 summit with Bill and Melinda Gates, Ed Sheeran, and world leaders, including France President Emmanuel Macron who was fascinated by her.

Born Erica Tandoh, DJ Switch gained prominence on May 7, 2017, when as a nine-year-old girl, she won TV3's Talented Kidz.

DJ Switch has, since the win, become an icon as she continues to get international recognition for her exploits.
