The Maryland police in the USA have said it would be premature to say Chris Attoh’s wife, Bettie Jenifer, was killed because of her two marriages.
The police say thorough investigations are underway to bring to light the perpetrators of that heinous crime.

The police reportedly added that they were being assisted by multiple agencies to get to the root of the matter.
“We are working in conjunction with multiple agencies, including federal agencies, that are assisting us and making their resources available to us as well.”
“The fact that this was in broad daylight in front of multiple witnesses, whoever did this didn’t seem to matter to the person who committed this crime, so that in and of is extremely shocking,” a police officer, Matthew, reportedly said.

Jenifer was murdered in cold blood exactly a week today on Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Greenbelt Parking Lot in Maryland.
She had closed from work and was walking to her car when the murderer approached her with a gun.
Out of fear, and in an attempt to save her life, Jenifer began to run but her attacker pursued her firing multiple shots.
Jenifer was hit in the head leading to her death.

It was after her demise that the Ghanaian media learnt that she was married to two men – her first husband Kedrick Jenifer, and Chris Attoh.
The first husband, with whom she had twins, is currently serving a 20-year jail term in the USA for drug trade.
Earlier reports by YEN.com.gh detailed how Jenifer had initiated an action to divorce her first husband.
However, she married Attoh when the divorce proceedings had not gone through yet.
Thus legally, she was married to two men at the time of her death.
Her family, according to another report by YEN.com.gh, revealed that Bettie had received many threats from unknown people.
