- Bale has fallen out of favour at Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane
- The Welshman now looks set to leave the La Liga side in the summer
- Either Man United and Spurs could sign the frontman on a free transfer
Premier League rivals Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur could sign out-of-favour Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale, on a free transfer this summer.
According to a UK Mirror report, Madrid are said to considering letting the Welshman leave after spending six years in the Spanish capital.
Bale has already fallen down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane who is keen to offload him as he begins rebuilding.
Whereas the 29-year-old is not short of potential suitors, most of them have been put off by the cost of a possible deal.
And with Madrid paying the Wales international a massive £13 million-a-year salary, the La Liga giants are reportedly prepared to let him leave for nothing, to get him off the wage bill.
The situation has put Spurs and Man United on red alert, with the two clubs interested in Bale's services.
The Red Devils are understood to be long-term admirers of the attacker, having previously failed to lure him to Old Trafford.
But with his dwindling fortunes at Bernabeu in recent months, Bale could now, more than ever before be open to a switch.
