Shatta Wale has complained that his colleague musicians and other players in the music industry hate him so much.
He wrote that though Ghana loves him, the music industry players hate him and they wished he never had any hit song.
Shatta Wale’s complaints come on the heels of many criticisms he has received since the violence which rocked the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
"Ghana loves me. But the music industry and its players hate me so much that they wish i never played any hit song again..." Shatta Wale tweeted.
He had stormed the stage at the VGMA when Stonebwoy had received his award for the Reggae/ Dancehall Artiste of the year and was making a remark.
However, Stonebwoy’s entourage sensed danger with Shatta Wale’s appearance, and so they turned on him with an attack.
Stonebwoy’s manager, Blakk Cedi, was captured throwing a heavy blow on Shatta Wale’s face on the stage.
According to fans who were at the venue, Shatta Wale was going on stage to congratulate Stonebwoy on his award.
Shatta Wale himself spoke later saying his intention for going on stage was for good and not bad.
Meanwhile, the two musicians have been arrested by the police and they are currently in custody at the time of filing this report on Monday, May 20, 2019.
YEN.com.gh also published the full list of the award winners, with two of the awards being withheld.
