CEO of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade, has commented on the recent brouhaha at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charterhouse has expressed her fury following the brawl that occurred at the VGMAs.
According to her, there was no need for Shatta Wale to have gone on stage for whatever reason he might have had.
In an interview with Accra based radio station Joy FM, Mrs. Ayoade expressed her opinion on the brawl that ensued at the 2019 VGMA.
"This is not done anywhere in the world where an artiste goes on stage to congratulate another artiste, it is your time to shine and so the stage is yours," she said.
She went on to criticize Shatta Wale saying "if you want to congratulate them it should be done after so this was done out of order."
Theresa Ayoade who seemed furious about the incident criticized Shatta Wale as she expressed her disappointment in him.
Her comments followed the scuffle that took place at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The award ceremony was going on well until the brawl between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy halted the event.
The brawl started after the self-proclaiming king of African dancehall walked up on stage while Stonebwoy was about giving his appreciation speech.
After Stonebwoy was named as winner of the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Shatta Wale and his entourage stood up few minutes after Stonebwoy woke up to receive his award.
Sensing danger, Stonebwoy's manager tried pushing away Shatta Wale and his team, leading to exchange of blows.
The worse part was when Stonebwoy was given a handgun by one of his bodyguards as a way to protect himself.
The incident brought about the holding up of two top awards namely Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year and Artiste of the Year.
Meanwhile Kwame Sefa Kayi who was MC of the event has revealed that the two unannounced awards were for Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
