Let the laws work - Shatta Wale says after release from police cells

Controversial musician Shatta Wale has been released from the police cells, according to his latest post on social media seen by YEN.com.gh.

Shatta Wale wrote that his and Stonebwoy's arrest was just a phase of the career, stressing that the laws must work.

He indicated that he is free from the police.

Shatta Wale wrote: “This is just another Phase of the career !! Let the Laws work !!!! #Freedom.”

He had been arrested on the night of Sunday, May 19, 2019, following his fight with Stonebwoy at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Stonebwoy was making a remark after he collected his award for the Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year when Shatta Wale went on the stage.

His uninvited appearance on the stage led to Stonebwoy’s entourage attacking him because they believed he was coming to hurt their musician.

Shatta Wale’s fans also jumped onto the stage to fight for him, causing serious commotion on the stage at the event.

In the videos circulating on social media, Stonebwoy was captured pulling a gun and shouting on top of his voice.

The chaos brought about confusion and conflict at the ceremony, therefore, two awards were withheld.

Meanwhile, fans who were at the event said Shatta Wale had gone to the stage to congratulate Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale himself confirmed it when he said that his intention for going on stage was a good one, not bad.
