Popular radio host and MC for the 2019 VGMA Kwame Sefa Kayi has spoken following the brouhaha that went on at the VGMA event.
Kwame Sefa Kayi who was MC for the VGMA has given an eye-witness account of the brawl that happened between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
According to the host of 'Kokroko' on Peace FM, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are both to blame for the incident.
In an interview with Accra based radio station Neat FM, Kwame Sefa Kayi expressed his opinion about the incident.
"Shatta Wale had no business going on stage. If Shatta had not woken up, boot chairs and walked up on stage with his squad, the incident wouldn't have happened," he said.
"Stonebwoy on the other hand had no emotional intelligence. He did not think far because he allowed his heart and the pain within to control him," he added.
Kwame Sefa Kayi jabbed Stonebwoy and questioned why he had to pull the handgun where such a mammoth crowd was.
He noted that the gun could have mistakenly fire on its own which can result in the death of the dignitaries there or Stonebwoy himself.
Popularly called the chairman general, Kwame Sefa Kayi expressed his disappointment in the two musicians.
He stressed that their action has brought the award scheme into disrepute, something that is a dent on the country.
Kwame Sefa Kayi urged that the two artistes be taken through disciplinary measures due to their failure to control their temper.
The incident which brought the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to a halt for about twenty minutes is the topical discussion at the moment.
A brawl occurred at the VGMA grand event after Shatta Wale and his team walked up to stage at a time Stonebwoy was about taking his award for winning Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
