- Shatta Wale has been spotted calling himself Ghana Mandela and Ghana king
- This is the first video of Shatta Wale since his release from police cells
Shatta Wale has been spotted in his house after being released from police cells earlier on Monday, May 20, 2019.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale was seen standing inside his house with a friend after his release.
The fully-bearded friend who was taking a selfie video was heard saying "yo, I just brought Mandela back from jail."
A happy-looking Shatta Wale then came from the back to brag and liken himself to South Africa's Nelson Mandela.
"Mandela just came back from jail. Mandela you know. Ghana Mandela you know, Ghana king," Shatta Wale said.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, was arrested on the night of Sunday, May 19, 2019, following his fight with Stonebwoy at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Stonebwoy had been called on stage to receive the Reggae-Dancehall Artiste of the Year award beating Shatta Wale, Samini, and others.
Unexpectedly, Shatta Wale who was seated in the crowd decided to show up on the stage during Stonebwoy's speech and it turned into a very chaotic situation leading to Stonebwoy pulling a gun.
The altercation brought the event to a halt for a lot of minutes before calm was restored and the two were picked up to help in police investigations.
